13x bigger in fact! The larger negative size brings an incredible amount of clarity and depth to your images. When shot correctly, the tones are much richer and the quality far superior to even the best full-frame digital cameras. Large format photography is also one of the most rewarding forms of photography, there is nothing quite like getting out in the field, relaxing and taking your time to create that perfect image.

Every Hardwood camera is cut from a single piece of timber, so no two are the same. Here's how our three woods compare, and how each one changes as it's used.
Rich chocolate brown with bold, dramatic grain. The timeless choice.
Over time: Mellows into a warmer, slightly lighter brown.
A soft pinkish tan with a fine, smooth, satiny grain.
Over time: Deepens to a rich reddish brown, with most of the change in the first months.
Pale and creamy with a tight, even grain and tiny flecks.
Over time: Barely changes, picking up a faint honey tone.
Colours are illustrative. Wood is natural, so every camera's colour and grain will be a little different.
