This update is available for all MK2 Intrepid Enlargers. If updating from v2.xx then check the quick start guide to get Sys Info. Click the link above to download a folder containing everything you will need plus install instructions. Please note: you will need a computer running Microsoft Windows to install the firmware update.

Make sure the timer is disconnected from power then connect the timer to your computer with a USB mini cable (the text on the screen may be faint or not visible), check the device manager to see that it has been recognised, it should show up as “USB Serial Port (COMxx)” or “USB-SERIAL CH340 (COMxx)” under the “Ports (COM & LPT)” section.

Base mount
Run the Xloader.exe and select the correct COM port from the dropdown list. If you had a timer with an “a” suffix then select the “IntrepidTimer chip:PB(a)” from the device list, if not then use “IntrepidTimer chip:P”. Then select the correct hex file to load.
